The Children and Youth Groups of the Bellevue church of Christ is a place for kids from 2 years old through 12th Grade. We have Bible classes for all ages, as well as youth rallies, lock-ins, church and community service projects and numerous other various fun activities. For those in 7th-12th grade please check out our Bellevue Youth Group (BYG) page.
We want to teach our younger children about God, His Word and His love for them that was shown through sending His Son, Jesus. We strive to create an environment where our older kids can continue to grow closer to God, strengthen their belief and deepen their convictions while providing a welcoming atmosphere for any guests or friends to join this wonderful family!

(2 - 6 year olds)
Bible PALS (Praise and Learning Service) is a ministry for children ages 2-6 years.
Following the Lord’s Supper, the children are asked to come up to the front of the auditorium for a
very short lesson with our minister Jeff. After this, the children are dismissed to Bible P.A.L.S. Children are divided into two age groups: 2-3 years old and 4-6 years old. Both groups enjoy singing, snacks, a Bible lesson and crafts. Parents are asked to pick up their children immediately at the end of services.
If you have any questions about how to get involved please see Lisa Weaver, Miranda Sears or Shelley Wheeler.
(Preschool - 5th grade)
The Bellevue family does VBS on a grand scale! The entire building is decorated by a team of volunteers. Preparation starts in January for the VBS in June and actual decoration to prepare for the arrival of kids starts 2-3 weeks prior to the first kid stepping in the door.
Our VBS provides a coordinated course of Bible study for all ages with emphasis on teaching our children and those children whose families are not Christian. This ministry is used as an outreach tool for the community. There are Bible classes, skits, learning centers, and other activities for preschool through the fifth grade, plus an adult class. This ministry requires the efforts of the whole congregation.
VBS is normally scheduled for the second week in June each year.
If you have any questions about how to get involved please see Lisa Weaver, Miranda Sears or Shelley Wheeler.
(3rd – 12th grades)
Leadership Training for Christ is an annual regional event designed to stimulate and encourage spiritual, mental, and social growth among children in 3rd – 12th grades through various individual and group activities (e.g., song leading, preaching, scripture reading, writing, art, drama).
Congregational mentors work with participating children to develop their skills in leadership, Bible knowledge, and Christian servanthood.
If you have any questions about how to get involved please see Jeff Weaver.
We envision our youth seeing God as their Lord and Creator of all things and Christ as the only answer for the sin in this world. We want to provide the opportunity to know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit better through Bible study, small groups, parental and church involvement as well as various activities. Our youth should love God and each other as Christ has loved us, be able to stand firm with conviction and gently defend the Truth, and impact those around them with His love by always seeking an opportunity to share Him with the world, not only during their time in the youth group, but also after they have graduated to the next stage in their lives.
This ministry strives to teach the youth of the church about Christ, teach them to use their talents for the Lord, and bring them to spiritual maturity so as to be future leaders in the church. This will be accomplished through wholesome, organized activities to draw the youth together and challenge them in the work of the Kingdom. The youth ministry team shall be made up of the youth minister, parents, and adult sponsors. The team will ensure Biblical instruction and relevant life application is provided. 1 Peter 3:15, Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 1:28-29; 2 Timothy 3:15
Our desire is for each teen to graduate from high school with the following Christian values & skills:
