Welcome

We invite you to be our guest

If you are like most people, visiting a church for the first time can be unsettling.

We want your first visit with us to be uplifting for your whole family.

Here are some answers to questions people have about their first visit with us:

How Should I Dress?

Preferably with clothing of some kind that makes you feel comfortable. Seriously.

Some members will be wearing ties, coats and dresses. Others will be wearing “Business Casual.” Still others will be in jeans, shorts and t-shirts.

Where Do I Go?

You can get a Google Map with our location HERE.

We have limited parking behind our building and street side. We also have a parking lot across the street on the corner of Madison and 24th Ave.

You can enter by the front double glass doors under the awning, or by the solid door from the small back parking area.

Sunday Bible Classes begin at 9:15 am. We have classes available for all ages.

The Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:15 am. Children, teens and adults gather in the main auditorium.

We have a nursery available for infants and toddlers as well as a separate library area. Both have the service live streamed if you need to use them.

What Should I Expect?

Singing

Every service gives you an opportunity to sing with us as a congregation. Slides with words and music are shown on a large screen, and songbooks are available for you to use, if you prefer.

Prayer

We are a church that believes in prayer. Throughout the service, different men who are members of the church lead prayers. Some of these prayers deal with the needs and requests of our church family and friends, while others simply praise and thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

Offering

Each week our members have an opportunity to give money to the church. While you are welcome to give if you desire, we do not expect guests to do so. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be passing a collection plate hand to hand. A plate or basket will be on the table at the back where all enter. Some members will leave their offerings as they walk past, and some will mail paper checks to the church office. Others will give online by the PayPal link at our church website.

Communion

We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper to be one of the most important acts of worship when we meet each Sunday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, communion is provided in individual cup servings and trays are not passed person to person. Please pick up your individual cup from the table on your way in.

Preaching

We consider the preaching and teaching of God’s Word to be an important part of our gatherings. Practical, Bible-based teaching can be very valuable to you in living a successful, joyous life.

Invitation

At the end of the sermon, our minister will ask everyone to stand and sing a song.  This is a time for anyone in need to respond publicly by walking to the front and letting their need be known.

They may need prayer, or they may have made a decided to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and desire to be baptized.

If you want someone to pray with you privately, and don’t want it to be so publicly known, you can tell the minister, or any other leader privately, without the need to respond publicly.

After the Worship Service

People will gather in constantly shifting groups to laugh, joke and catch up with each other about life.  Some of our people will focus on meeting and getting to know guests.  Please stay around long enough to give them the chance to get to you before you leave.  Someone may even ask you to have a free meal with them!

We are a caring, church family, and we hope that you’ll be our guest next Sunday!
